Self Massage to Aid in Lymphatic Drainage - Upper & Lower

Place hand flat on your groin on the side of the upper extremity lymphedema.  Using a up and in motion apply pressure to area.  Repeat 10 times Place hand into armpit of arm w/the lymphedema.  Use an up, in and then down motion to apply pressure in a circular pattern at the armpit.  Repeat 10 times Place hand near elbow.  Use light pressure to stretch the skin while moving the hand toward the armpit.  Repeat 10 times Starting at the elbow using light pressure stretch the skin along the arm to the armpit and continue from the armpit down along the side of the trunk toward the same side groin.  Repeat 10 times

Place hand flat on your groin on the same side of the upper extremity lymphedema. Using an up and in motion apply pressure to area.
Repeat 10 times

Place hand into armpit
of arm w/the lymphedema.
Use an up, in and then
down motion to apply pressure in a circular pattern at the armpit.
Repeat 10 times

Place hand near elbow.
Use light pressure to stretch the skin while moving the hand toward the armpit.
Repeat 10 times

Starting at the elbow using light pressure stretch the skin along the arm to the armpit and continue from the armpit down along the side of the trunk toward the same side groin.
Repeat 10 time

Repeat 10 times Using light pressure, stretch skin while moving hand from knee to hip along middle portion of the thigh.  Repeat 10 times Using light pressure, stretch skin while moving hand from knee to hip on inner thigh area.  Repeat 10 times

Using light pressure, stretch skin while moving hand from knee to hip along back of thigh.  Repeat 10 times Place hands with fingers at the back of the knee w/fingers just touching Apply pressure in an up and in motion.  Repeat 10 times Apply  flat hands surrounding calf starting at the ankle

stretch skin while moving hand from knee to hip
along back of thigh.
Repeat 10 times

Place hands with fingers at the back of the knee w/fingers just touching

Apply pressure in
an up and in motion.
Repeat 10 times

Apply flat hands surrounding calf starting at the ankle

Using light pressure stretch skin while moving from ankle up to knee.  Repeat 10 times      

Using light pressure
stretch skin while moving from ankle up to knee.
